Hello Lushies! I thought i'd review something from the Mothers Day range today. The Mothers Day range is small consisting of only a few bits but some really nice gift boxes! If your mum is into Lush, it may well be worth checking them out, last year I got my mum the gift tin and she loved it!
Secret Garden is a new bath bomb, never before seen! Its irresistible too, with a pink flower embedded into it and a grassy green floral scent! The scent isn't really my cup of tea, it smells like a fresh bouquet of flowers or a wild meadow but its not a bad scent by any means and I still really enjoyed it!
While it is small, it packs a real punch! The scent escaped all around my house and definitely stayed on my skin afterwards. Upon dropping into my bathtub, Secret Garden slowly fizzed around my tub for about 15 minutes! Its not a quick fizzer (which meant I could actually take my time getting pictures!) and makes for a very relaxing bath. Midway through, it starts to fizz out a string of yellow/green foam which then bursts with flowers! Such a nice unexpected treat and in my opinion, nothing beats a bath with rose petals in it!
Here is the entire journey in pictures!
As you can see Secret Garden literally bursts with wild flowers and foam towards the end of its journey!

Overall I can really imagine this being a welcome treat for mums and lushies alike (and it doesn't break the bank either at £2.50!). I can't imagine a more relaxing bath and I came out literally smelling of roses! It was a tad drying on my skin - my hands suffered the worst as I had to apply hand cream 3 times over the course of the next hour as they felt so dry! Be warned dry skinned lovelies, definitely moisturise post bath! This is a limited edition product for Mothers Day and can be found in your local Lush store or here online for £2.50!

Eeep this looks so exciting! Can't believe it's only £2.50 as well! I love how it doesn't turn that dreaded yellow colour as well :)
ReplyDeleteUrghhh, yellow water! No thank you! But yeah, its really nice and love how little flowers spilled out of the centre towards the end. Its a nice lil treat :)
DeleteAw this looks adorable! The colours are fantastic, I quite like floral scents and the flowers at the end are the perfect touch! I usually stay in the bath until my skin is shrivelled and dry as a bone anyway hehe

Haha same! I usually end up in there shivering because the water has gone cold but I'm glued to a book! I love the flowers at the end, I really love baths with flowers in! :)
DeleteI love the look of this. I really love bath bombs from lush. Have none left from my christmas/valentines collection but i have a birthday coming up so may grab one or two with my birthday money.

I agree, I think mothers everywhere (who like lush baths that is...) would really like this!
DeleteWhat a fab price, and so pretty too! I'd love to try this out but I think it'd be difficult with my really dry skin!

Yeah its definitely tough with dry skin, mine suffered a little bit!
DeleteThis is such a gorgeous bath bomb! Great price too. May break the ban for this one but I may try adding an oil to the bath to help the dryness!

Ooo I hadn't thought of that! I will try it next time I have a drying bath bomb :)
DeleteThis goes such a nice colour, shame about how drying it is though I've never experienced that with something from Lush before x
ReplyDeleteHave you not? Lucky! I found a couple of products are drying buts it doesn't really put me off using them as I always moisturise :)
DeleteThanks for reviewing this - I was thinking about getting it for a mum as an extra treat but she has really dry skin so I think I'll choose something else. I love the colours though! x

Treat yourself! It makes for a lovely bath!
DeleteI never knew LUSH had some Mother's Day limited-edition products! The little flowers are such a cute touch and wow, 15 minutes is amazing!
ReplyDeleteYep, it was a slow fizzer indeed!
DeleteLush makes me so sad we don't have a bath :( and they discontinued their emotibombs for showers a while back. This looks so good too!
ReplyDeleteYeah I know :( People loved the emotibombs hopefully they will bring some back in retro or something :)
DeleteOhh I wish I'd gotten my mom this! She would've loved it! :( Great post and pictures though! <3

Aww thats a shame! I should have ideally got the post up earlier but i'm so behind on posts! But thank you <3
DeleteYou know it's been years since I've tried a Lush bath bomb but that looks so pretty in your photos I might have to give one a go. Maybe not this one though if it's as drying as you say. Definitely a good idea for a Mother's Day present too.
