9 weeks in! Can you believe it?! I know I probably say this every week but time is going so fast!
I have had a relatively boring week. I had a week off from work so haven't really done much, i've spent it lazing around and catching up with blogging and TV! I did go out Saturday night. Since I work nights I don't really get the chance to go out much, so since I had a Saturday night off, I made a point of seeing my besties and hitting the town. I had a lot of fun and only spent about £25! (predrinks ftw!)
I may or may not have mentioned this but I am extending the ban by 50 more days. I feel like I need to pay for my slip ups!
This will take me all the way to May 30th and since I go on holiday on the 10th of June, it means I have more time to save for that! I am intending on going to the #bbloggers meet up in April, but ladies, you may have to stop me making some poor decisions in Selfridges! Let me know if you want to join me in my insanity to do 150 days ;)
I thought i'd do a monthly update like I did last month, just to put into perspective just how much I have spent/saved. I know this month has been a tough one, I slipped up majorly when the Archie Girls collection was released and saw some friends. I'm expecting my eyes to water (and its only been a short month!)
£145.60 on Archie Girls + £153.00 = £298.60 for the entire month.
Last month: £189.00
I do feel AWFUL about the amount I have spent this month as it is basically double. I have some serious thinking to do about whether I want to cut out Lush Retro and other limited edition Lush products as I have noticed a HUGE chunk of money going on that. Its something I need to consider and weigh up as I love reviewing it. What do you think?
Here's to March where I aim to hopefully only get in double figure (or even single, d'ya think I could do it? I'm gonna try!)

Total spent this week: £100 (on the night out and bills!)
What have I learnt this week: Things like lunches, going out ect... are a huge expense so I'm glad I don't overindulge in that department
Lusting after: The new MUA highlighter and Undressed 2 palette.

I know you had some slip ups last month but you are back on track now! Extending it by 50 days is good - I dont think I can keep going for that long.
ReplyDeleteKeep it up! You are doing well!
I did an update to my spending ban post - its here http://www.allthatslap.com/2013/03/spending-ban-update-no-2/
I also reviewed the new MUA highlighter:

Stay away from MAC now til May! LOL xx
Haha thanks Grace! The MUA highlighter looks so nice! Looks like it would give a lovely glow (like I need anymore highlighters lol). I think adding on 50days won't be so bad. I've gotta save ALOT for Florida, so I literally can't spend even if I wanted to :)
Delete150 days?! You crazy girl! Actually I'm tempted to join in because I want to book a holiday in June so it would be good to save up. Will have to have a think about it though! x

I think it won't be too bad, as I don't have any money anyways even if I wanted to spend. I think you could do it :)
Delete150 days!!! mental!!! :p

DeleteI'm lusting after the new MUA highlighter and Undressed 2 palette, but I've just been avoiding Superdrug! Good luck for this month! :)
ReplyDeleteXx
Thanks Jenny :)
DeleteI can't believe you are able to keep up with everyone updates! You're awesome!
ReplyDeleteEven though the ban makes life a little blan at times, I do really enjoy reading up on how others are doing.
This week I'm really wishing I had some of the tarte blushes.
❤❤
Thanks Melissa :)
DeleteI'm thinking of extending mine too. It's surprising how much you waste on things like coffee and eating out with friends isn't it. Buying food costs me lots too. As we live across the road from a huge supermarket I find I spend a lot there as there is always something that is 'needed'.

Ahh I found that when I lived near a supermarket to!
